Mobbin coverage assessment

Desk research and proposed validation. 0 native tests.

Checked 7 October 2026. No account was created and no subscription was purchased. This is an access-and-coverage assessment, not a completed paid-library extraction.

Recommendation

Finish the first-party atlas first. For a second visual-research pass, a single-user Pro quarterly subscription is the proportionate option: it includes flows, version history, downloads and MCP; Team's separate API access is unnecessary for this task.13 The observed EUR storefront displayed €15/month billed quarterly (€45 for a quarter), versus €10/month billed yearly (€120 for a year). These totals are calculated from displayed rates, not checkout quotes; taxes and account-localized currency require confirmation before purchase.12

There is a practical reason to pay: public references establish relevant MyFitnessPal, Cal AI and MacroFactor coverage.567 Deeper access could expose coherent flows and version history.1 There is not yet a verified reason to assume it covers Lose It! or Cronometer. Separate external searches did not establish their catalog presence; that is an unknown, not evidence of absence. Do not buy on a promise of exhaustive coverage of all five.

What was actually inspected

  • MyFitnessPal: a real public iOS dashboard reference page, explicitly describing editable health-goal categories. Catalog coverage is verified; capture date/version and complete app flow coverage are not.6
  • MacroFactor: the public Android food-label scanning flow page, with a six-screen preview sequence visible in the page structure. The page describes capture and extraction; this was not a hands-on scan test.5
  • Cal AI: the public iOS scanning-food flow, showing eight previews. Visually inspected the overview: dashboard → quick-add choices → three capture-guidance screens → camera → return to feed. The overview cannot establish saved-value correctness, correction durability, or failure-state behavior. Capture date/version were not exposed on this public surface.7
  • Lose It! / Cronometer: not confirmed from available public discovery. The research package uses their first-party material instead.

Extraction route and limits

The official MCP is explicitly offered for AI-assisted design research on paid plans.3 Its current documentation says standard searches, flow searches, browsing and downloading consume zero AI credits; successful Deep Search costs five. Pro includes 300 monthly credits. The beta began on 5 October 2026 and currently permits Deep Search beyond the allowance without an overage charge; that is temporary policy, not a permanent unlimited promise.4

If purchased, use the supported MCP with the user's account authorization, begin with standard app/flow searches, record platform and capture version, and request only the journeys that close identified evidence gaps. Do not configure or claim an authenticated connection until it has actually been authorized and tested.

Do not treat a subscription as permission to mirror the library. Mobbin's terms distinguish permitted internal/API/MCP use from rehosting, bulk copying, and building a standalone content repository. For this project, retain links and original analytical notes; avoid publishing or bundling a bulk Mobbin screenshot collection without explicit permission.2 This atlas therefore does not rehost Mobbin product screenshots. Its annotated product imagery comes from cited first-party help/store material, not a paid-library scrape.

Acceptance test before renewing

This is our proposed research gate, not a claim about Mobbin's current catalog:

  1. Confirm exact app entries for all five names and iOS/Android coverage.
  2. Record capture dates and which major app versions are represented.
  3. Retrieve coherent onboarding, logging, correction, reuse, goal-change and cancellation paths where present.
  4. Compare at least one screenshot path against current first-party documentation; flag divergence rather than silently combining versions.
  5. Measure new verified screen/transition coverage, not the number of images downloaded.
  6. Stop if the library largely duplicates accessible help screenshots or cannot close the atlas's high-priority gaps.

Evidence limits

Public preview pages do not prove that every paid flow is current or complete. No app was installed through Mobbin; screenshots cannot establish offline behavior, native accessibility, sync reliability, AI accuracy, or whether an edit persists after restart. Those require the hands-on test protocol in this package.
